Tom Ragland

Tom Ragland is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the realms of Homeland Security integration, strategic planning, and business development. Currently serving as a Homeland Security Integrations Executive at DELL Technologies, Tom has become a trusted leader in guiding the intersection of technology and national security.

With a distinguished career in the United States Army, Tom achieved the rank of Brigadier General (Ret), bringing a wealth of leadership experience to his civilian roles. His expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, including leadership planning with Homeland Security executives, business plan development, pursuit prioritization planning, customer understanding enhancement, and homeland and national security planning and strategy.

Tom’s proficiency extends to integration planning for Dell Technology companies, providing support for mergers and acquisitions. His commitment to fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors is evident in his involvement in public/private partnerships and his role in organizations such as the Association for Federal Information Resource Management (AFFIRM), the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and the Homeland Security and Defense Forum (HSDF).

Having served on various boards and committees, including his tenure as a board member of AFCEA-Bethesda and as the Chairman of the Homeland Security Special Interest Group (SIG) at the American Council of Technology/Industry Advisory Council (ACT/IAC), Tom has been instrumental in shaping the discourse on homeland security.

Beyond his professional achievements, Tom has dedicated his time to philanthropic endeavors, including serving on the National Capital Region Board of the Wounded Warrior’s Project and chairing the USO Fundraising & Special Projects Committee’s National Capital Region Golf Fundraiser from 2010 to 2019. Tom Ragland’s multifaceted contributions reflect his dedication to the intersection of technology, security, and public service.

Tom holds a J.D. from the University of San Diego and an MS in International Security Studies from Tuft’s University.
