Rachel is the Director of Operations for the Homeland and Telecommunications (HST) Sector and has been with GDIT 15 years where she has held various roles such as Professional and technical development Lead, Program Manager, Portfolio Lead and now Operations Director. In this role, Rachel provides leadership to refine operational processes, grow the business, and support DHS and wireless program teams.
Rachel was previously the lead for three years and now serves as a Council Member for Women’s Advancement Recognition & Development (ForWARD) where she built an Employee Resource Group that hosted sessions focused on professional development, creating a supportive GDIT culture and featuring men and women’s navigation of IT careers.
She earned her undergraduate at Virginia Tech in English and was certified to teach k-16 which did for six years prior to getting her masters from George Washington University in distributed learning. Prior to GDIT, Rachel was a consultant for helping organizations select tools for distributed learning.
