America's Partnership for Homeland, Cyber, and National Security

Kevin Fiftal is the Managing Director for Intel’s Public Sector Cloud strategy and operations working with cloud solution providers (CSP’s) and partners optimizing cloud workloads with Intel Architecture (IA). This includes building cloud reference architectures, utilizing secure trusted computing initiatives across multi- cloud and building unique scalable solutions with the major
CSP’s.

Kevin was Intel’s first Principal Investigator (PI) at the NIST National Cyber Center of Excellence (NCCOE) and brought Intel into the center as the first industry partner. His work there included Trusted Geo-Location in the Cloud, NIST IR- 7904, the first use case produced at the NCCOE where he first served as a co-author and then acknowledged in the NIST document. His work with NIST included collaborative work on random number generators, cryptography, trusted hardware root of trust as well as Intel FIP’s compliance in the manageability engine of Intel’s client vPRO products. He has numerous publications on trusted cloud as well he was the co-author of the world’s first published use case of the Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) detailing
his teams work in implementing the CSF at Intel.

His security work in cloud now includes total memory encryption (TME) which focuses on end-
to-end encryption as well as application acceleration for security workloads.
