Dan Carroll is the Field CTO for Cybersecurity – US Federal at Dell Technologies. In this role, he is focused on developing and managing comprehensive programs as a Cybersecurity Program Manager. This includes working with customers within US Federal as well as globally to understand the current state of their cybersecurity challenges and requirements to meet vertical compliance goals. Think operational security VS compliance security (HIPAA, FISMA, NERC-CIP, EU GDPR, etc). Leveraging this information, he works with Dell Technologies product and solution teams to develop comprehensive go-to-market cybersecurity solutions and strategies to help customers achieve their goals for data protection.
Dan is also focused on managing Dell Technologies Collaborative Research and Development Agreement relationships. This includes collaborating with industry regulatory bodies like the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NIST NCCoE) as well as Department of Defense labs. These collaborations include defining guidance and future roadmaps for technology areas to include 5G, IoT, Supply Chain Assurance, and Digital Twin modeling.
